The earthy leaves of the Eucalyptus tree are steam distilled to produce this essential oil. There are over 600 species of Eucalyptus trees; however, the majority of Eucalyptus oils derive from the Eucalyptus globules.

How To Use:

  • Add a few drops of Eucalyptus oil to a quart of boiled water. Take off stove, and drape a towel over your head and inhale for 10-15 minutes
  • Place some drops in homemade antibacterial hand gel
  • Make homemade insect repellent

Fun Fact:

After Captain Cook's discovery of Australia, surgeons on the First Fleet treated convicts and marines with eucalyptus oil due to its antiseptic abilities. Years later, Europe found out about Eucalyptus Oil in 1778 and named it Sydney Peppermint.
