With all the toxins in commercial cleaning products, I’ve converted to this simple homemade citrus cleaner! Throw your citrus peels into a container of vinegar and simply wait 2 weeks!

Ingredients:

-Citrus peels
-Undiluted White Vinegar
-Herbs/ extracts/essential oils of your choice (optional)
-Large glass container
-Spray Bottle

Directions:

1. Collect your citrus peels and throw them into an air-tight medium-sized glass jar. (Add herbs or extracts if so desired.)
2. Pour vinegar over the citrus peels. Put the top back on tightly.
3. Allow mixture to ferment for 2 weeks on your countertop.
4. After 2 weeks, strain out your citrus peel /herbs and pour into a spray bottle.

How to Use:

Spray on floors, glass, sinks, bathtubs, etc. and wipe down with a papertowel or cloth. It can be used on all countertops except granite or marble (due to the acidity of the spray).

Notes:

-The vinegar scent is potent…so adding herbs and essentials oils help mask the scent if you are sensitive to vinegar.
-You can refrigerate or freeze any herbs/citrus peels until you are ready to make the next batch of cleaner!
