Ditch your store mascara that’s loaded with chemicals and opt for an all-natural formula instead.

Ingredients:

-2 tsp coconut oil
-4 tsp aloe vera gel
-3/4 tsp grated beeswax
-¼ tsp Vitamin E
-1-2 capsules of activated charcoal
-Clean mascara container

Directions:

1. Place coconut oil, beeswax, and aloe vera in a small glass container/mason jar.

2. Fill a medium size pot with a couple inches of water and place the jar over medium heat.  Keep the lid loosely on the jar to avoid any water getting in. (Or use a "real" double boiler if you own one.)

3. Once melted, pour in Vitamin E and 1-2 capsules of charcoal (approximately ¼ - ½ tsp dependent upon the color you want) and stir well. Once evenly incorporated, remove from heat.

4. Using a syringe (or pour mixture into a plastic baggie and cut a hole in the corner), slowly press mascara into the tube.

How to Use:

Apply to eyelashes as often as desired.

Notes:

-Discard tube and mascara after 4 months as bacteria can start growing. Keep top on tight otherwise it’ll dry out.
-You can use cocoa powder to make brown mascara if you have light eyelashes.
-Add mineral powder pigments to pay around with different colored mascara!
