A twist on regular liquid sunscreen, this easy-to-apply sunscreen stick is a MUST during summer time. The SPF in this recipe is approximately 18-20.

Ingredients:

-1/2 cup Coconut Oil
-1/2 cup Beeswax
-1/2 cup Shea Butter
-2 TBSP Zinc Oxide Powder
-1 tsp Vitamin E Oil
-Essential Oil (optional)

Directions:

1. Combine coconut oil, beeswax and shea butter in a double boiler, or simply use a large glass container (with a lid) and place in a pan/pot with a couple inches of water. Turn heat to medium.

2. As your ingredients start to melt, swirl the container gently to incorporate everything. Once everything is thoroughly melted, turn off heat and carefully remove container to countertop.

3. Mix in Zinc Oxide, Vitamin E and Essential Oils (optional) and stir until combined.

4. Pour into an empty stick (empty deodorant containers work great) and allow to completely cool.

How to Use:

Rub into body before going into the sun. Reapply as often as necessary.

Notes:

-If you don't want to use a stick, you could pour contents into silicone molds to make sunscreen bars. Or just pour into a tin container!
-These will melt in the sun, so be careful if you're bringing them to the beach!
